About Ruth

Ruth is a Practice Nurse of over 25 years in East Kilbride, Scotland, with a specialist interest in allergy and respiratory conditions. She is a Clinical Lead within the practice and joined Education for Health as a trainer in 1990, facilitating short courses, diploma and degree programmes for asthma, allergy and COPD. Ruth was previously a member of the BTS/SIGN Asthma Guidelines Steering Group and the Diagnosis Evidence Review Group. As a previously elected member of the PCRS-UK Executive Committee and Education Committee, she continues to be involved in clinical practice and education. Ruth was involved in developing the QIS COPD Standards in Scotland and was the PCRS representative on the UK inhaler group (UKIG).
